To give more time to participants to capture nice moments of Hanoi, the organizing board of the “Hanoi – A Living Space” photo contest decided to extend the deadline for photo submission until April 30 instead of March 15, 2009.

The Jury will choose the winners from May 1-15. The award ceremony will be held at the Hanoi Library in late May 2009.

The contest is jointly organized by the Lac Viet Centre for the Development of Community and VietNamNet newspaper, under the assistance of the Globalization Research Centre of the Hawaii University and the Kim Dong Publishing House.

The contest aims to seek good photos of Hanoi as a modern city with nice living space, through encouraging the community to protect the city’s beauty. The organizing board also expects to make a database of photos of Hanoi to serve the 1,000^th Thang Long – Hanoi anniversary.

Photos should be sent to Phan Khanh Linh, VietNamNet Newspaper, 141 Ba Trieu, Hanoi.
