LookAtVietnam – Local and international professional photographers taking part in the Gia Dinh International Photo Contest of Gia Dinh Photographer Club were honoured yesterday at the HCM City Exhibition House.

Ravages of age: The photo Old Lady Labour by Gho Peng Jjin, of Singapore, was one of the contest submissions.

The sponsors received 3,196 colour and black-and-white submissions from 400 local photographers from 52 provinces and cities and 133 foreign photographers from 25 countries and territories.

Fifty-three gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded by the associations to the winners.

Besides the awarded works, the board of examiners chose 182 photos to showcase after the ceremony, which was attended by many well-known international photographers.

Childhood misery: Under the Rain by Mikhail Bondar received a silver medal award.

Eight colour and black photos were awarded gold medals at this contest.

Gold medals awarded by FIAP went to Pham Duc and Bao Hung, respectively, for Cuu (Save) and Suc Song (Vitality).

Beat it: Giat Chieu (Sedge Mat Washing) by Ho Xuan Bon is being displayed at the event.

HOPA awarded its gold medals to Duong Thanh Khoi and Cong Ly, respectively, for Giac Mo (The Dream) and Giai Dieu Que Huong (Country Melodies).

Gia Dinh Photographers’ Club presented gold medals to Wong Lai Chu from Macao and Tran Thi Diem Phuc for Suc Loi Cuon (Attractiveness) and Tham Luoi (Checking the Fishing Net), respectively.
