The Dedication Awards 2008 were presented to singer My Tam, the “Bow-Back 2” album, musician Do Bao and the Vietnamese Song program at a ceremony in HCM City on March 11.

This year, 96 journalists who cover music news voted to choose the winners of the Dedication Awards 2008.

With 96 votes, singer My Tam defeated Ho Ngoc Ha (42) to become Singer of the Year. Last year, My Tam worked very hard to release two albums and organize a trans-Vietnam tour. She also won another music prize named Yellow Apricot 2008.

Musician Do Bao was presented two awards, including the Album of the Year Award for “Bow-back 2 – Time to Love” and the Musician of the Year title.

The “Bai Hat Viet” (Vietnamese Song) program of the Vietnam Television (VTV) received the Program of the Year with 39 votes. With eight live shows in HCM City and two in Hanoi, Vietnamese Song brought many new, good songs to the audience and discovered new musical talents for Vietnam.

The Dedication Awards 2009 was organized by the Sports and Culture Newspaper and Le Bros Company, under the sponsorship of Vietnam Airlines.
