Irish and Vietnamese artists will perform together in Hanoi at the end of the month to raise funds for the disabled and Agent Orange victims. |
Athena Tergis, Mick Moloney, John Murphy and Frank Crocker will present the sounds of Ireland on a range of instruments including the fiddle, flute, tenor banjo, mandolin, guitar and concertina. The dazzling step dancer Niall OâLeary, founder of the Niall OâLeary Irish Dance School and Irish Dance Troup, will accompany the musicians for the March 28 concert. Vietnamese composer and well-known monochord player Thanh Tung will play alongside classical guitarist Nguyen Thuy Anh and percussionist Do Khac Huan. The Irish and Vietnamese musicians will also share the stage for one segment of the show. To mark the event, the Embassy of Ireland in Vietnam will donate US$2,000 to the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange (VAVA). The show will be held at the Melia Hanoi Hotel and free tickets are available at the embassy on 8th floor, Vincom City Towers at 191 Ba Trieu Street. Reported by Bao Anh |
