LookAtVietnam – Authorities in Hoi An Ancient City in the central province of Quang Nam have decided to organize a legendary night on April 30 to welcome tourists on the Reunification Day and International Labor Day.

Authorities in Hoi An Ancient City in Quang Nam Province have decided to organize a legendary night on April 30.

Motor vehicles were not be permitted in the city on this evening to allow pedestrians to walk the streets carefree, enjoying the relaxing mood, cultural music and an atmosphere similar to ancient times. Moreover, the city will also implement Earth Hour and turn off lights from 7 p.m to 9 p.m along the Hoai River in an effort to make the ancient town more fanciful and shimmering.

The event will be repeated on the 14th day every lunar month from April onwards.

Also from April 30, the city will implement car-free days for pedestrians on four days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday) and six nights every week excepting Sunday. On those days motorized vehicles will be banned from Chau Thuong and Bach Dang streets.

The city is also taking this occasion to open the new tourism site at Bai Ong, Tan Hiep Commune, Cham Islet. There will be eight show cases on 500 square meters under shades of coconut trees facing to 300,000-square-meter beach to serve tourists to Cham Islet.

Cham Islet, located 18 kilometers from Hoi An City and about 30 minutes by express train, is an increasingly popular destination attracting local and foreign tourists with its primitive beach, fresh water, cultural relics, colorful corals and diverse seacooking.
