LookAtVietnam – Parisians have been given the chance to catch a glimpse of Vietnamese culture and people at a photo exhibition that opened at the Viet Nam Culture Centre last Saturday.

Crossing bridges: Exhibition visitors are given the chance to catch a glimpse of Viet Nam at the Vietnamese Culture Space in Paris.

Entitled Vietnamese Culture Space, the exhibit includes nearly 200 photos depicting the diversified beauty of Vietnamese people and landscapes.

The show highlights vivid images from the country including one of an ethnic girl with a brilliant smile, charming girls in their ao dai (traditional dress) on Ha Noi streets, and the awesome limestone karst formations in Ha Long Bay.

Other photos include the mystic beauty of the My Son heritage site in the central province of Quang Nam, the mossy roofs of Hoi An’s ancient town and the royal buildings of imperial Hue city.

Colourful traditional ethnic “costumes from Viet Nam and sophisticated handicraft products also are on display.

Speaking at the exhibition’s opening ceremony, the director of the Viet Nam Culture Centre, Pham Xuan Sinh, said the exhibition will contribute to strengthening the relationship information exchange between Viet Nam and France as well as offer the Vietnamese community in France the opportunity to learn more about their homeland.
