Australian ensemble Tetrafide Percussion will perform in Hanoi from May 29 to June 1 for World Environment Day (June 5), the Australian Embassy said in a statement Thursday.

The percussion quartet will play at the Vietnam National University, the Museum of Ethnology and the Hanoi Conservatory of Music.

They will also join the “In Rhythm with Nature” concert on May 30 at the Hanoi Opera House, where guests will get a sneak preview of a photographic exhibition about Vietnam sponsored by the Australian Agency for International Development.

Tetrafide Percussion combines traditional music from Asia, Africa, the South Pacific and Latin America, high-impact dance, and percussion with electronic beats to create an eclectic and thrilling show.

For more than 12 years the group has been entertaining people of all ages in Australia and around the world, from festivals and workshops to schools and public concerts.

They have performed at the World Expo in Japan; the Rhythmsticks Festival and the Harrogate International Arts Festival in Britain, and the Cork Midsummer Festival in Ireland.

Tickets are available for VND100,000-150,000 (US$5.50-8.30) at the Hanoi Opera House, 1 Trang Tien Street.

Free ticket delivery can be arranged via www.ticketvn.com, mobile: 0913 489 858 or 0983 067 996, or email: ticketvn@fpt.vn.
