French court music tours Vietnam

French counter-tenor Thierry Gregoire and Brazilian musician Ronaldo Lopes are touring Vietnam with performances of French royal music from the sixteenth and seventeenth century. | |||||||
| Sponsored by the French Embassy in Vietnam, the artists held three shows in Ho Chi Minh City, Hue city and Da Nang last week and they will perform the music that entertained the French aristocrats for over 500 years in Hanoi next Tuesday, May 26. Gregoire studied at the Ecole Nationale De Musique -Charleville Mezieres. Ronaldo Lopes, who plays baroque musical instruments, is currently a lecturer at Porto National Institute of Music in Spain.
