LookAtVietnam – Miss World 2008 and Miss World 2004 will be in the ancient city of Hoi An on June 4 to participate in a procession of old vehicles, a part of the Quang Nam – Heritage Journey 2009 programme.

According to the initial plan, Miss World 2007 Zhang Zilin and Miss World 2008 Ksenia Sukhinova were to take part in the parade in Hoi An on the morning of June 4. However, Zhang Zilin cannot come to Vietnam so Miss World 2004 will replace her.

Miss Vietnam 2008 Tran Thi Thuy Dung will join the beauties at this event.

Beauty queens will go from the Palm Garden Beach Resort in Hoi An to Phuoc Kieu-Cau Mong bronze casting village with the parade. They will see the traditional boat race of the central province of Quang Nam, and take part in the Dien Ban gastronomy festival.

The parade will stop at the Statue Garden on the bank of the Hoai River in Hoi An town and the most beautiful and unique old vehicles will be awarded.

This will be the second time old unique vehicles are gathering in Hoi An under the framework of the Quang Nam – Heritage Journey programme. The organising board will only admit vehicles manufactured from 1920 to 1970 which have not been rebuilt. Around 300 old motorbikes and cars like the Vespa, Mobylette, Volkswagen and BMW will join the event.

During their time in Vietnam, the two miss worlds will travel through many provinces and cities in Vietnam, such as Ha Nam, HCM City, Hau Giang, Can Tho, Quang Nam, Da Nang, Hue city, Quang Tri, Khanh Hoa to do charity work from May 28 to June 8 under the sponsorship of the US-based RAAS group.
