A photo exhibition on Agent Orange is open to the public at the Photo Museum in California, US, introducing photos by popular names like Goro Nakamura, Doan Duc Minh, Dinh Q. Le and Binh Danh.

The exhibition is entitled “Agent Orange: Landscape, Body, Image”. According to Hulig News, the AO issue has become a symbol of the tragedy of wars since 1968, with traces left by the war on many generations of Vietnamese and foreigners. Artists reflect the existence of dioxin in the landscapes and people of Vietnam.

Along with this exhibition, a three-day workshop, from May7-9, is being held with the participation of authors. The exhibition and workshop are organised by some professors of the California Riverside University, namely Christina Schwenkel, David Biggs and Lan Duong.

Christina Schwenkel said that the workshop focuses on presentation and knowledge about AO and experience in dealing with dioxin of various organisations.

Among attendants are Professor Phung Tuu Boi and Ton Nu Thi Ninh, former Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnamese National Assembly Foreign Affairs Committee and former co-chairwoman of the Vietnam-US Dialogue Group on Agent Orange.

The exhibition will run until the end of August 2009.
