VietNamNet Bridge - The duo of Nguyen Dinh Chuong and Doan Thanh To Diem triumphed over five other pairs to win the Concours IDECAF 2009 contest on Vietnamese and French cultures for people aged between 18 and 25.

Chuong is a student of the HCMC University of Pedagogy (HUP) and Diem studies at the HCMC University of Technology.

The two win a 10-day trip to France.

The second prize worth VND8 million (US$457) went to Dinh Quoc Khanh (HUP) and Nguyen Phuong Hai (HCMC University of Science - HUS), and the third prize worth VND6 million (US$343) to the HUS pair of Nguyen Ngoc Minh-Nguyen Trung Duong.

Three consolation prizes worth VND2 million (US$114) each were shared by Nguyen Xuan Phong – Nguyen Vu Hung, Ngo Ho Ngoc Quyen – Than Trong Tran Chau, and Ho Le Bao Linh – Nguyen Phuoc Hanh.

Of the competing pairs, one had to specialize in literature and the other in science. The contestants had to prove their verbal capacity in standard French and their teamwork.

The Concours IDECAF is organized annually by the Institute of Cultural Exchange with France (IDECAF).
