PL Modeling Company has announced that Huong Giang won the second runner-up title while My Linh entered the top ten of contestants of Miss Vietnam Global 2009 in the US.

“Huong Giang called us from the US, saying that she also received two sub-titles: Miss Photo and Miss Ao Dai,” Huong Giang’s mother, To Thi Le Dinh, told VietNamNet.

Dinh said Huong Giang called home twice to say that she was healthy and she had many new friends. But she was very busy so she couldn’t call home often.

PL Modeling said that Miss Vietnam Global 2009 is a girl from California. Huong Giang and My Linh will return to Vietnam on June 17.

Miss Vietnam Global is an annual beauty pageant for Vietnamese girls all over the world, held by MFC Media USA and MGM Entertainment Group in Las Vegas, USA. This is the fourth contest of it kind, attracting 30 contestants in the final round. Last year, Vietnamese model Vu Nguyen Ha Anh was also crowned as the second runner-up.
