The Performance Art Agency has given permission to Huong Giang and My Linh to participate in the Miss Vietnam Global 2009 pageant in the US. Model Ngoc Quyen was not licenced because she hasn’t won any prize in national beauty contests.

Huong Giang was Miss Hai Duong Province 2006 and My Linh was Miss Vietnamese Women in Photo 2006. Though Ngoc Quyen is a famous model, she doesn’t have any title at any national pageant in Vietnam, said the Performance Art Agency’s Pham Dinh Thang.

Thanh stressed that Miss Vietnam Global is a cultural activity of the community of overseas Vietnamese and the Vietnamese cultural authorities support the event. However, two Vietnamese representatives are enough.

Ngoc Quyen said she was a little bit sad to not get a licence. However, she revealed that she hadn’t prepared for the contest because she was very busy with film projects.

“I’m not so down. A/H1N1 flu has appeared in many countries, especially the US, and I’m worried about it. Perhaps I will participate in a beauty contest at home in the coming time,” Quyen said.

Ngoc Quyen is a supermodel in Vietnam. She won many titles: Most Favourite Model 2004, Impressive Style 2008.

Huong Giang expressed her happiness, saying that she had just finished her term exams and she will try her best at the upcoming pageant.

The final night of Miss Vietnam Global 2009 will take place on June 14 with ao dai, swimwear, night gown and interview rounds.
