Mrs. World 2009 will take place in the southern city of Vung Tau in several months but the organisers are facing difficulties in seeking funds for organisational works, estimated at $7.4 million.

The expenditures for this event are calculated at $7.4 million for transport fees, accommodations, and others.

The organising board will have to take care of transportation for around 200 people, including contestants, organisers, jury members, experts and celebrities from many countries to HCM City. However, Vietnam Airlines can sponsor airfares for its routes.

For accommodations, only the five-star Imperial hotel in Vung Tau has agreed to host contestants and organisers free of charge.

“Expenditures are the biggest worry of the organising board and Ba Ria – Vung Tau province. $7.4 million is really a huge sum,” said Doan Kim Hong, vice chief of the organising board.

The organising board is calling for provinces and cities which will appear in the 9-minute clip broadcast on the final night on November 22 in the evening in Vung Tau city, which will be aired live on Star Movies.
