A Vietnamese student won the gold award at the International High School Arts Festival held from July 29 to August 2 in Tokyo, Japan.

Hang, a 10th grader at Nguyen Tat Thanh High School, Hanoi, won the gold prize for her painting named “Small Street” (photo).

Nguyen Tat Thanh High School was the Vietnamese representative at the festival in Tokyo. The school sent ten paintings by its students to this event.

The International High School Art Festival is an annual event for high-school students from throughout the world to share their artworks and show their talent for art.

The 10th festival attracted around 6000 students from 13 countries: Japan, Myanmar, Ireland, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, the UK, Australia, Singapore, Israel, China, Senegal and Egypt.
