The group’s leader, Prof. Dr. People’s Teacher Tran Thu Ha, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Conservatory of Music, said that this was the first time the Conservatory brought such a large number of students – 12 – to the contest. The students who participated were selected from national music contests and brought to the international competition.

Prof. Thu Ha and Prof. Dr. People’s Teacher Ngo Van Thanh, Director of the Hanoi Conservatory of Music joined the competition’s jury. However, they were not allowed to mark their students.

Prof. Thu Ha said that this is a very fair competition and Vietnamese contestants proved their talents. “However, our students need to practice more to attend upcoming international music contests,” she said.
