The National Steering Board for the 1000th Thang Long – Hanoi Anniversary has launched a website, “Thousand-year culture of Thang Long, Hanoi.”

The National Steering Board for the 1000th Thang Long – Hanoi Anniversary, in cooperation with the Hanoi Department of Information and Communication, has set up a website, “Thousand-year culture of Thang Long, Hanoi.”

The website, http://www.thanglonghanoi.gov.vn, introduces events planned to celebrate the 1000th Thang Long – Hanoi anniversary, including the city’s traditional values, socio-economic achievements, potential and best features of the capitol and neighboring provinces and cities.

The website allows users to find important events and images of the ancient capital, maps of Hanoi, celebration events and the national program ‘Studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples.’

There is also a feature dedicated to documentary films on famous cultural and historical sites and landscapes of Hanoi.

The highlight is the “Thousand-year culture of Thang Long” feature, which presents more than 200 articles, such as “Vietnamese history,” “Cultural heritage,” “Hanoi’s famous man,” “Hero-Talent-Elegance-For Peace.”

All are written by professors and historians who each have more than ten years of research experience on Hanoi, such as Prof. Vu Khieu, Hanoi researcher Nguyen Vinh Phuc, historian Duong Trung Quoc, Prof. Vu Ngoc Khanh and journalist and writer Giang Quan.
