Since 1991, Dat has been collecting signatures on his old motorbike. To date he has collected 449 signatures with the bike being recognised as a national record by the national Record Book Centre.

“Building this movie museum is not only my dream but also that of many other artists,” said Dat.

The new owner of this unique motorbike is Vo Minh Tung, a former actor. In addition, Dat presented Tung with a piece of art made from the stump of an ancient tree in the Central Highlands.

The motorbike and the artwork will now, in turn, be auctioned in late September to raise funds for elderly artists in HCM City. Also benefitting will be victims of natural disasters in the central region, the Vu A Dinh scholarship foundation and the Que Huong Charity Centre.
