The Vietnam Television Film Studio has made a deal with the Korean TV channel SBS to produce a Vietnamese movie based on SBS’ famous series “Family’s Honour”, which had a record high number of viewers in South Korea.

“Family’s Honour” was a phenomenon in South Korean in 2002, with revenue of US$30 million. It also won the Best Scriptwriter Award in 2002. The US’ Warner Bros has also bought this script.

“Family’s Honour” is a TV series about traditional culture, morality, human dignity and the meaning of love.

Besides “Family’s Honour”, a private media company – Viet Media — is producing a 26-episode series based on another Korean series entitled “Full House”. This film will be broadcast on VTV this year.
