More than 400 students in Hanoi Sunday completed a 112-meter-long picture which was recognized as Vietnam’s longest environmental picture on the same day.

The picture, which is 1.5 meters high, was drawn on cloth. It depicted environmental problems like global warming, greenhouse gas effects and deforestation.

For over six hours, the students from the capital’s universities and over 20 environmental clubs also drew solutions to the problems as well as the outlook after people change their attitudes towards the environment.

The picture, which broke a national record set by a 100 x 1.4 meter picture drawn in the central town of Nha Trang’s Sea Festival one year ago, will be put on display at Hanoi University of Construction, Viet Arts Center and some orphanages.

The project was initiated by the youth environmental club Go Green in cooperation with Toyota Motors Vietnam.
