If this project is implemented, Hanoi will have another road of art, decorated by wooden-hammer bricks, laterite, stone reliefs and lit with a modern light system in the evening.

This project is designed by architects Hoang Thuc Hao and Ha Chi Nhan from the 1+1=2 Architecture Company and will be located on a 2 kilometer section of Buoi Road, which is said to be the remaining portion of the 1000 year old Thang Long citadel wall. This section will be sub-divided for decoration into 10-20 parts that are 2-5 meters high.

If Hanoi authorities approve it in 2009, this project can be completed before the 1000th anniversary of Hanoi in October 2010. Funds needed for this project are estimated at 70-80 billion dong.

However, the road also runs along the To Lich River, a very polluted system of water in Hanoi. Some have suggested clean-up of the river is also necessary.
