If this project is implemented, Hanoi will have another road of art, decorated by wooden-hammer bricks, laterite, stone reliefs and lit with a modern light system in the evening.

This project is designed by architects Hoang Thuc Hao and Ha Chi Nhan from the 1+1=2 Architecture Company and will be located on a 2 kilometer section of Buoi Road, which is said to be the remaining portion of the 1000 year old Thang Long citadel wall. This section will be sub-divided for decoration into 10-20 parts that are 2-5 meters high.

If Hanoi authorities approve it in 2009, this project can be completed before the 1000^th anniversary of Hanoi in October 2010. Funds needed for this project are estimated at 70-80 billion dong.

However, the road also runs along the To Lich River, a very polluted system of water in Hanoi. Some have suggested clean-up of the river is also necessary.
