On Hanoi’s Liberation Day, October 10, a national parade will be held at Ba Dinh Square.

Hanoi Chair Nguyen The Thao said that the 10-day script of Hanoi’s 1000th anniversary has been completed and submitted to the National Steering Board for Thang Long-Hanoi’s 1000th Anniversary for approval.

There will be three key events: the opening ceremony on the morning of October 1 at Ly Thai To flower garden; the parade on the morning of October 10; and the art show on the evening of October 10 at My Dinh National Stadium.

To welcome the anniversary, Hanoi, along with nine provinces and cities, will hold dozens of cultural events from now to October. The capital city has received offers from 24 foreign embassies and cities in the world to take part in the anniversary through various activities.
