VietNamNet Bridge – HCMC–based Ben Thanh Tourist launched a new service earlier this month called Free & Easy Travel all local and foreign tourists, and in particular Overseas Vietnamese who are planning to return home for Lunar New Year 2009.

“Travelers can book all services or only one service for their travels to the main tourist centers or other destinations around the country,” Cao Ngoc Minh, public relations executive of the company said.

She said that individual tourists and those wanting to travel in small groups are interested in this service because they can arrange more personalized tours. “Customers can call my company to ask for the free and easy service for booking air tickets or hotel rooms, and any other options they want to pre-arrange, and then plan their own vacation around these bookings” Minh said.

The tour operator has also launched a series of short-stay and long-stay tours. These include the three-day and two-night free and easy tour to Phu Quoc Island in the southern province of Kien Giang. Only one hour by air from the tourism hub of HCMC, Phu Quoc has beautiful beaches and primeval forests as well as boat trips for sight seeing and fishing.

The three-day and two-night tour to the central highland city of Dalat during the Christmas holidays is a good choice for those like cool weather. The romantic city is the site of many lakes, waterfalls and old villas and some special and interesting architecture.

The same day tour to the ancient city of Hoi An in the central region is an exciting trip for the travelers who want to learn about history, and see some beautiful old architect. Hundreds years ago, Hoi An was a bustling trade center with Japan and China, and many of the old buildings and houses have been preserved to keep good memories for both local and foreign visitors. There are also some luxurious beach resorts for accommodation, including Palm Garden, Hoi An Beach, or Life resort Hoi An.

The series of short-day tours includes tours to Phan Thiet, Nha Trang, and Long Hai beaches.

Minh said that travelers can combine these short tours with the longer tours to destinations such as Hanoi, Lao Cai, among others.

“We are focusing on introducing short-day tours in response to the demands of our many Overseas Vietnamese who come to Vietnam for the year-end holiday”, Minh explained.
