VietNamNet Bridge – According to Vietnam Airlines, the two airports of Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang in Bangkok will reopen on December 15.

Vietnam Airlines expects to resume its normal schedule of flights from Hanoi and HCM City to Bangkok on that day.

According to the airline’s spokesman Trinh Ngoc Thanh, Vietnam Airlines is asking for more runway time at Utapao Airport in order to bring more stranded Vietnamese passengers back home.

On Tuesday morning, an additional 150 passengers arrived at Tan Son Nhat Airport on the second Vietnam Airlines flight from Utapao, raising the total number of passengers who have been able to return home to 318.

The airline said that 170 passengers were scheduled to catch the flight but 20 of them couldn’t make it to Utapao airport.

Vietnam Airlines is closely working with local authorities to keep updated about stranded Vietnamese passengers in Thailand to design suitable assistance plans.
