A visiting three-star-Michelin chef from France is pleasing patrons of the Sofitel Plaza in Ho Chi Minh City with his exotic creations.

Since Saturday, Régis Marcon has been serving up hot

and cold mush-rooms and fennel, sweet & sour lobster with pine honey, salmon and aspara-gus, a sea scallop mariniere with leeks and black truffle, and much besides at the hotel’s L’Olivier restaurant.

Dubbed “The Mushroom King” because of his passion for the fungus, Chef Marcon makes generous use of mushrooms as well as cheeses and local herbs combined in his own his way.

If it sounds tempting, roll up to the Sofitel Plaza at 17 Le Duan Boulevard, District 1 until February 20.

To find out more or book a table, contact the hotel’s cooking and beverage department on tel: (08) 3824 1555 (ext. 7320) or via email at fb@sofitelsaigon.com.vn.
