Two vessels, one each from Britain and the Netherlands, cruising around the world berthed in Nha Trang Friday.

The UK’s six-star Queen Victoria came with 1,782 passengers and 1,002 crew and officers and the Rotterdam had 815 passengers and 633 crew.

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has reported that tourist arrivals in the first two months dropped by 10 percent as the global economic decline intensifies.

But the number of cruise tourists has increased, mostly retired and middle-class people not seriously affected by the crisis.
