More than 350 businesses have registered to join a promotion month starting September 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, offering consumers VND123 billion (US$6.9 million) in savings.

By the end of this month, around 20,000 handbooks of the promotion month will have been distributed to city residents.

The annual event, organized since 2005 in the city, aims to stimulate consumption through promotion activities including discounts, coupons and gifts.
