The winding road to the Hai Van tunnel.

Hai Van pass cuts through the Truong Son mountains, the natural borderline between Thua Thien Hue and Da Nang.

The major tunnel is 6.280 meters long and 10 meters wide, accommodating vehicles of up to 10 meters in height.

Around 600,000 cubic meters soil was removed to build this tunnel.

The Hai Van pass is 496 meters above the sea level.

There is a stop for vehicles, where travelers can enjoy the landscape.
