With the large number of historical and cultural relics and the Hue ancient capital, tourism is the key industry of Thua Thien – Hue. The province has implemented many projects to restore its relics, but they are not enough to prevent the decay of some Hue relics.

An elephant deity, which lost its tusk, and a tortoise at Van Thanh relic on the banks of the Huong River.

A broken piece of wall at Voi Re Palace.

Many wood pillars in Voi Re palace are being ruined by wood worms.

Next to Van Thanh, Vo Thanh relic is now fallow land with five stone steles.
