Next month, Danang will be dense by Chinese traveller.

The first chartered flight from Beijing to Danang City will start late next month, kick-starting a plan to bring tourists from China to this central coast city with two chartered flights a week.

With the upcoming two flights that bring in 160-180 tourists each, and the five existing chartered flights, Danang will be able to welcome about 1,000 Chinese tourists a week.

Besides, low-cost carrier AirAsia will launch a direct service from Danang to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia in mid-December, making it easy for local tour operators to offer outbound tours for domestic tourists, and cater to foreign tourists.

Currently, to fly to Malaysia from Danang, tourists have to go to Singapore where they take a train to Malaysia, or travel to HCMC and then fly direct to Malaysia. However, once the Danang-Kuala Lumpur service is activated, Danang Airport will have two international flights a week, the other service being the Danang-Singapore flight operated by Singapore’s SilkAir.
