It is a result of collaborative work between the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism Ho Chi Minh and Department of Tourism Jeju was announced last night, 17/10.

Mr La Quoc Khanh, Deputy Director of Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism Ho Chi Minh and Mr. Oh Chang-Hyeon, marketing director of Jeju Tourism Department has announced some achieved results.

From October to December this year, tourists from Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam can fly directly to Jeju island (South Korea) by plane on Tuesday and Saturday and are exempt visa (only as long as the Jeju) once a week. This is the first time, two travel companies jointly organized this program with the support of Jeju tourism. The first flight to Jeju by Asia World Travel Company (the company holds the charter flight to Jeju), flew last week and the flights were fully booked in December, the package price (return ticket) about U.S. $ 600-620 (depending on whether 2 or 3 night stay).

Jeju Tourism Department delegation visited and worked in Vietnam from 14 to 18/10/2011, including 10 journalists and representatives of travel companies, airlines of South Korea. After working with leader of tourism city, the group was exposed to some partners, a large tourist businessman of Ho Chi Minh city have the strength to organize Korean tourists. Besides, Korean journalists come to some places in the Mekong Delta to communicate articles, television reports about the Vietnam destination, cooking, Vietnamese people, Vietnamese culture ...and promote Vietnam tourism.

In addition, Vietnam and Korea are working together to vote for HaLong Bay and Jeju Island to become world natural heritage, which be going to be announced on 11/11/2011.
