1. Sapa

Sapa always satisfies tourists with imposing mountains, four-season day, intersting destinations, and friendly local people….

In order to go to Sapa, you have two choices. Firstly, you spend a night going by train and an hour going by passenger coach. Secondly, you go to Gia Lam bus station to catch a passenger coach with beds, you will be in Sapa in the next morning.

A note for tourists: tourists should book a train ticket, and hotel before going to avoid being overloaded because there will be a lot of tourists visting Sapa on April 30^th and May 1^st holiday.

2. Ha Giang

Mentioning Ha Giang, many travellers think about going backpacking. You can overhaul your motorbike right now, call for your friends and ask them to go backpacking with you. You will have a chance to conquer moutain passes, streams and valleys to discover your own ability.

You can also go here by passenger coach and hire a motorbike to explore rock highlands, caves, villages of ethnic minorities, Sung Khanh temple, Binh Lam temple, etc. Going by passenger coach will help you stay healthy to start you trip.

3. Da Nang city

Da Nang is very famous for beaches and seacooking. You can swim with Da Nang people in public beaches from 5 am. You can also take a stroll or contemplate the sea in the sunset.

Seafood here is very good. You only need 300,000 VND with two friends to fill your stomach with seafood. Except luxurious restaurants, all popular pubs and small restaurants along the beach have good prices.

When coming to Da Nang, you should visit Ba Na or Marble Mountains (Vietnamese: “Ngũ Hành Sơn”; “Five elements mountain”) or Hoi An. If you want to go to Hoi An Old Town, you should go from 3 pm to be able to take photos and take a stroll in the evening.

4. Phong Nha - Ke Bang

If you like discovering and conquering mountains, forests and caves, as well as live in the nature, Phong Nha is an ideal choice.

Being a limestone-mountain area with the area of 200,000 hectares, Phong Nha – Ke Bang is famous for a giant wonderful caves system. According to the statistics,  there are about 300 caves here.

You can explore Phong Nha – Ke Bang by road, or by river.

Besides, you can go camping and enjoy specialities here such as: jungle fowl, wild boar, shrimp, fish…

5. Thay pagoda

Located in the Sai Son mountainfoot, Quoc Oai district, Hanoi, Thay pagoda is about 20 kilometers from Hanoi centre to the southwest. Going along Lang Hoa Lac highway with such a short route, many people especially students choose Thay pagoda as the destination on weekend.

Apart from visiting the pagoda, visitors can take photos and explore caves. Cac Co cave is located in the top area of Thay pagoda. Although it is not the beautiful cave, Cac Co cave attracts tourists by skeleton and the mysterious story.

A note: you should carry a flashlight. If you are interested in any service, you should ask for the price.

6. Hanoi suburb

If you do not want to go far and you like taking photos, there is a simple choice for you.  That is Hanoi suburb.

In late April, the weather is hot, you can go to Ba Vi to enjoy the cool wind blowing through your hair and eat chicken, fish in the river and Ba Vi milk cake, etc.

Besides, Tam Dao in Vinh Phuc is also a good choice for a short trip. Coming here, you will satisfy with cool temperature and natural scenery. You can visit bears farm, and take photos of insects.

Traditional craft villages around Hanoi are another choice. You can go to Bat Trang to knead pottery, and visit the village.

7. Ho Chi Minh road

if you like exploring by bicycle or motorbike, you can start with the itinerary along Ho Chi Minh road (starting from Hanoi). Except that Xuan Mai stretch of road is quite dusty, other stretches of  the road have beautiful scenery.

Depeding on your health, you can choose a suitable stop. You can take a short break in Hoa Binh or in Cam Thuy, Thanh Hoa.
