US extends longevity for Vietnamese nonimmigrant visa holders

| The US Embassy in Hanoi said it would extend visa validities for certain Vietnamese travelers to make it easier to conduct business from the US and other countries. |
| The move will extend certain one-entry/three-month visas to multiple-entry/12-month visas for Vietnamese non-immigrant visa holders in nine categories. The embassy said it would reduce time and costs associated with visa renewal. The categories are: transit aliens; crewmen; temporary workers and trainees; information media representatives; intra-company transferees; non-academic students; aliens with extraordinary abilities; athletes, artists, and entertainers; and aliens in religious occupations.
