Many readers emailed VietNamNet to show their admiration for the four students who cleaned the Hoa Phong tower on the bank of Hanoi’s Hoan Kiem Lake.

A reader at vuong_van…@yahoo.com commented: “Heroes often do very simple things. The four students did a job that many people have to admire”.

Their job has surprised many people because the job is very simple but no one else thought of it and also because it is the idea of four young girls.

“I respect their act so much because they thought about it and dared to do it. People are often good at speaking and criticizing others. Thank you so much!,” wrote a reader named Ngoc Thien.

Reader Nguyen Thi Hoa wrote: “It is very simple but nobody thought of it. If inconsiderate people write unobjectionable graffiti on the wall, we clean it. We often think that such job belongs to someone else and not us. Whenever we see similar phenomenon, we only criticize and leave it!”

“ I applaud the four girls who did a small but very meaningful job. We should learn from them. If we see anything wrong, we must fix it immediately and do as much as we are capable of. We should not criticize, let’s take action”.

Reader at thaisalem@yahoo… made comparison: “We organize great festivals, pave new pavements, display flowers, etc. We need more practical actions for Hanoi. The job of the four girls is simple but great!”

“Admirable, wonderful, meaningful, great” are the words that VietNamNet’s readers used to praise the four girls and these words are not exaggerations because, “The four students had a wonderful idea and wonderful act. Why could they do such a marvelous job but competent agencies don’t know anything about this trick to embellish relics?” reader Nguyen Ngoc Son commented.

Many readers wanted to meet the four students. Some called VietNamNet to get the direct contact with the girls to join them as soon as possible.

“That’s a noble act of the students. I hope that they will be supported by others and that their act will enlighten inconsiderate people who write nonsense on relics. Regrettably, I don’t live in Hanoi. If I was there, I would have joined them!” wrote reader Nguyen Loc Tung.

When the media reports daily a lot of negative information about youth who are whirling in a average lifestyle, the act of the four above girls helps inspire people’s trust on the youth.

Reader bebefamily wrote: “I’m moved to know about these girls who acted so nobly, especially when we hear from the media about murders everyday. As readers, we hope to read such news, about good people. Thank you, girls! I hope that we will have many more young people like you”.

Readers said that this act should be spread.
