Hennessy Concert Series is always a high-class concert that is most expected by Vietnamese audiences, and the 15th show was no exception.

The 15th Hennessy Concert Series brought three world leading opera singers to Vietnam: French soprano Noral Amsellen, Mexican tenor Fernado de la Mora, Chinese bass Hao Jiang Tian and pianist Katherine Chu.

The concert attracted special viewers like People’s Artist Tran Thu Ha, People’s Artist Trung Kien, violinist Bui Cong Duy, pianist Pho An My and composer Huy Tuan.

Opera extracts of world renowned composers such as: The Barber of Seville by Rossini, Manon by Jules Massenet, The Pearl Fishers by Georges Bizet and Faust by Charles Gounod were performed.

After the show, People’s Artist Trung Kien, told VietNamNet: “I’ve enjoyed all Hennessy concerts and this concert was the best of them. It was amazing! Amazing! All of them are wonderful voices so I can say who is better. This show is excellent!”

Prof. Ngo Van Thanh, Director of the Vietnam Music Institute said: “Many said that classical music can’t hold a major market share in Vietnam, but today’s show has proved that classical music always has a special position”.
