Tran Dai Nghia, 41, in
the southern city of Soc Trang, had lost both hands, but he can take his child
to and from the school by motorbike.

Soc Trang people
have recently seen a man who lost both hands riding on a motorbike, with his
wife and child behind. Traffic police officers have not stopped him because
without hands, the man could still ride his motorbike very well and he didn’t
break traffic laws.

Nghia was born in a
poor family in Ward 5, Soc
Trang City,
so he didn’t study a lot. After getting married, he became a xe om (motorbike
taxi driver).

Ten years ago, he
was electrocuted while fixing a bulb for a familiar passenger and his two arms
were cut off to the elbows. Since then, he became a lottery ticket seller.

Last year, his
second son entered primary school and the third entered kindergarten. Both
schools are far from his house. Nghia bought a VND2 million ($100) motorbike to
take his sons to school.

He asked a welder to
weld two steel rounds to the handle bars and since then he could drive the
motorbike to take his children to school and his wife to the market.

Sometimes he worked
as a xe om to earn some more money. Nghia said though he has lost two hands and
his life is very difficult but he would try his best to enable his children to
study.
