Do Thuy, a well-known television show host in HCM City, has opened a souvenir shop that sell belongings of celebrities to raise fund for charity.

The shop is the idea of Do Thuy and a businesswoman named Nguyen Thi Truc Linh. The idea has been warmly supported by artists.

“Instead of collecting cash, we ask for souvenirs from singers, beauty queens, actors, models, etc. to sell at the shop. Our products are simple gifts like picture frames, glasses, hats, perfume, belts, etc. and the prices are fixed by the owners. I hope that we can raise funds to help poor and disadvantaged people through this shop,” Do Thuy said.

Do Thuy and Truc Linh have contacted with many celebrities to present the idea. “It was quite hard but we were warmly supported by artists,” Do Thuy said.

The shop has received many souvenirs from famous names like photographer Lu Dac Long (a nude photo of MC Thanh Bach), photographer Ly vo Phu Hung (portraits of famous beauties), photographer Long Thuy (a ball with signatures of 30 Vietnamese celebrities), supermodel-actor Binh Minh (his favorite sun glasses).

The list is longer with familiar names like actresses Viet Trinh, Truong Ngoc Anh, Quach An An, beauty queen Giang My, singers Thanh Thao, Ngoc Son, Khanh Phuong, Luong Bich Huu and others.

The shop opened on April 14, named “Nhip Cau”, at 108A Pham Viet Chanh, District 1, HCM City.

Do Thuy said she and her friends planed to produce a TV show entitled “Nhip Cau” to expand charity activities.
