A classical concert featuring young talents from the Viet Nam National Academy of Music will be organised at the French cultural centre in Ha Noi tomorrow, July 7.

Pianists Nguyen The Vinh and Nguyen Ha Uyen, who both won Gold Medals at the Asia International Piano Academy Festival and Competition 2010 in Cheonan, South Korea, will dazzle the audience with their mastery of the keys. Pianist Do Hoang Linh Chi, first prize winner at the National Music Contest 2007 and the International Music Contest in Jakarta in 2009, and second prize winner at the International Piano Contest in Ha Noi in 2010, will also join the event.

Violinists Nguyen Linh Uyen, who scored a second place finish at the International Music Contest in Jakarta 2009, and Bui Cam Ly, who earned second prize at the Viet Nam National Music Contest 2007 and third prize at the International Music Contest in Jakarta in 2009, will also feature in the concert.

Fourteen total performers will play noted works by such composers as Frederic Chopin, Claude Debussy, Henryk Wieniawski, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Edvart Grieg, and Carl Maria von Weber.

Tickets are available for VND50,000 (US$2.5) at L’Espace, 24 Trang Tien Street. Students are eligible for a 50 per cent discount.
