Kidney transplant woman gives birth

| A 20-year-old woman who had a kidney transplant at Ho Chi Minh City’s Cho Ray Hospital two years ago has given birth to a healthy baby, the hospital said Wednesday. |
Dr. Tran Ngoc Sinh said the case was rare because, after a kidney transplant, patients have to take medicine that can damage a fetus. Dr. Sinh said the woman had received special care and medicine during her pregnancy. The doctor also said it was the second such case in Vietnam of a transplant patient giving birth.
