| The strange disease that hundreds of gold miners in central Quang Nam Provinceâs Thang Binh District are suffering is actually a lung ailment, but its cause has not been pinpointed yet, doctors said Wednesday. |
| Dr. Tran Cong Phap, director of the provinceâs Pham Ngoc Thach Hospital said all the patients - gold miners working in Binh Tri, Binh Dinh Nam and Binh Dinh Bac communes - have been well cared for as the medical staff tried to find the cause of the problem. The patients complained of chest pains, difficulty in breathing and suffered weight loss. They were initially treated for tuberculosis, but their condition did not improve. Reported by Ho Trong |
