A Ho Chi Minh City water bottling company suspended by city health authorities for violating hygiene regulations is still operating illegally.

But inspectors were forced to suspend the firm’s operation again on March 2 as the company was still operating. Some 184 21-liter bottles were quarantined the same day, but 33 had disappeared as of Thursday, the inspectors said.

HCMC Health Department Chief Inspector Nguyen Minh Hung told Thanh Nien he had transferred the Tan Tan Duc case to police.

In related news, the city People’s Committee has instructed the department to cooperate with relevant agencies to inspect water bottling companies and withdraw the licenses of those who fail to meet hygiene standards.
