The Drug Administration of Vietnam has stopped accepting and considering applications to register advertisements from nine pharmaceutical companies for violating regulations.

The companies have been blacklisted because they had either carried advertisements with information that had not been approved or run ads before registering with the agency as mandated.

The violators include Ebewe Pharma of Austria which committed violations in advertising their product called Cerebrolysin; Getz Pharma of Pakistan for Getlite; and Sanofi Aventis and Kim Do Co., Ltd for Rodogyl.

Administration chief Tran Quoc Cuong said the agency will not accept registration documents for advertising from these nine companies for at least three months, and could impose more penalties if they continue to violate rules.
