VietNamNet BridgePrime Minister of the Slovak Republic Robert Fico arrived in Hanoi , beginning his official visit to Vietnam from Oct. 26-28 as guest of PM Nguyen Tan Dung.

Slovakian PM Robert Fico is visiting Viet Nam.

The visit, the first by a Slovak prime minister since the country split from Czechoslovakia in 1993, is expected to further strengthen the traditional friendship and expand multifaceted cooperation between the two nations, particularly in economy, trade, investment and labour.

During the visit, the Slovak PM will attend the inauguration of a Slovak embassy in Hanoi . He also plans to attend a Vietnam-Slovakia business forum.

PM Fico is accompanied by Foreign Minister Jan Kubis, Minister of Economy Lubomir Jahnatek, Slovak Ambassador to Thailand-cum-Vietnam Vasil Pytel, and other senior officials.
