The Vietnamese officials, led by Assistant to the Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, reiterated the nation’s ongoing policy of developing a long-term partnership and all-around cooperation with the EU over the next decade and the need for Vietnam to continue receiving assistance from the EU.

The EU delegation was led by Joao Aguiar Machado, the EC’s Deputy Director General for External Relations.

The third round of the PCA talks between Vietnam and the EU will take place in Brussels, Belgium, in the third quarter of 2009.
