In talks with his Slovakian counterpart Robert Fico in Hanoi Monday, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung applauded the opening of the Slovakian Embassy in Vietnam.

The Slovakian PM asserted that his country would like to further expand and develop its relationship with Vietnam, particularly in fields where Slovakia could meet Vietnamese demand, such as energy, infrastructure development and the environment.

After their talks, the two PMs witnessed the signing of an agreement on double taxation avoidance and prevention of income tax evasion. Agreements were also signed to strengthen cooperation between Vietnam’s Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and Slovakia’s Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Family.
