VietNamNet Bridge – Party General Secretary Nong Duc Manh has encouraged every Vietnamese to study and follow the late President Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples to become better Vietnamese citizens and make further contributions to national development.

“The campaign ‘Studying and Following the late President Ho Chi Minh’s moral examples’ which was launched nearly two years ago, is to make every Vietnamese aware of his ideology and moral examples so they can set goals to strive for in their own lives,” said Mr Manh.

He said the campaign has had wide-ranging response across the country and has established President Ho’s ideology and moral examples as the spiritual and moral foundation of Vietnamese society.

He appreciated the organisation board and said the contest has received widespread response from people of all social strata. He asked all contestants to become active and effective disseminators of the campaign at the grassroots level in order to build strong and healthy administrations and agencies in the future.

According to the Party leader, a national conference to review the results of the campaign will be held in 2010 to mark the 80^th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Fifteen contestants, who were selected from more than 19,000 contests held across the country over the past year, presented their stories of President Ho. The organising board presented a first, three second, five third and six consolation prizes to the contestants.
