VietNamNet Bridge - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and the Vietnamese Government’s high-ranking delegation left Hanoi on October 12 for a three-day official visit to Australia.

The visit was made at the invitation of Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. This is PM Dung’s first visit to Australia, aimed at strengthening the friendship and multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries for the benefit of both sides.

During the visit, PM Dung will meet with Australian leaders to discuss measures for boosting bilateral cooperation in economics, trade, investment, education, tourism and other areas. The two sides will also exchange views on a number of international matters of mutual concern.
