Consultative group meeting opens next week

| Government officials and international donors will discuss Vietnam’s socio-economic situation, the effectiveness of international aid and climate change at a meeting opening in Hanoi Thursday. |
Ahead of the two-day 15th Consultative Group Meeting, titled “Stabilizing Vietnam’s Economy and Maintaining Its Growth Potential,” a separate Vietnam Business Forum will be held for private sector representatives, both local and foreign, on December 1. The forum will focus on the local investment environment, the global financial crisis and its impact on Vietnam, the measures to maintain the competitiveness of Vietnam’s manufacturing and distribution sector.
