National Assembly Standing Committee session opens

| The Standing Committee of the National Assembly starts its 15th meeting session today in Hanoi. |
| During the five-day session, to wrap up on Saturday, the committee will review bills including legislation to amend criminal law, public debt management and state compensation. Delegates will also discuss programs for external affairs and international cooperation of the National Assembly next year and the committee’s 2009 agenda. In this session, the Ministry of Finance, on behalf of the Prime Minister, is expected to present the implementation procedures for personal income tax which takes effect in the new year.
