Party official asks for strong progress in Party inspections

VietNamNet Bridge - Politburo Member and Standing Member of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s Central Committee Truong Tan Sang, on December 25th, announced six solutions which should be focused on in 2009 to strengthen and increase internal Party inspections.

In a meeting to review the 2008 Party inspections on December 25th, the Party Official said that Party Committees had actively increased the involvement of the leadership in the implementation of the 5th PCC meeting resolution on increasing the Party inspection in each locality.

“In general, the inspections have seen remarkable changes,” he said. “The quality of inspections has been increased, in order to promptly, strictly and synchronously deal with violations following Party rules, administrative rules and laws.”

However, he noted that a few Party Committees were not yet fully aware of the inspections. “The qualifications of some inspectors does not satisfy the requirements in the new period,” he said.

He stressed that in 2009, the inspections should be a very high priority for the Party leadership, and a regular task of the Party. “Constructive action should be combined with the prevention of negative phenomena, in order to strictly and promptly punish violators,” he went on to say.

He noted six solutions which should be focused on in 2009, emphasizing that Party committees should increase their awareness of the importance of the inspections, thus creating stronger changes in the inspection process.

He also suggested that Party committees focus on completing policies and legal documents on the Party inspections, renew the ways of inspection, combine the inspections with the campaign to learn and follow Ho Chi Minh’s moral example, strictly punish violations, complete the inspection apparatus, and issue annual inspection progress reports so that relevant ministries, government agencies, unions and localities can follow up.
